✔ An individualized mentoring “track” (Not a one-size-fits-all approach).

✔ A personal relationship where athlete and mentor can discover ways to build an Olympian mentality within the young athlete’s own ability in the sport. 

✔ Learning and building a healthy balance between sport, social life, school, and family life.

✔ An Olympian who understands and has experienced the burnout stages and struggles at each level of the sport.

About Zach Harting

Zach Harting is an American competitive swimmer who specializes in the butterfly and freestyle events. He has been part of national team since 2017, and represented USA on the largest stage since 2018. Zach currently swims for the DC Trident which is part of the International Swimming League. In his free time, Zach likes to play guitar, board games, and disc golf as well as spend time with his puppy, Harley.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

☆ 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games
Harting started his first Olympic Games off strong, swimming to a new lifetime best of 1:54.92 to finally get under the 1:55 mark.

☆ 2021 #1 American qualifier at Olympic Trials
On Night 4 in Omaha, Harting punched his ticket to Tokyo, winning the 200 fly in 1:55.06 using his signature come-from-behind strategy.

☆ 2021 ISL- DC Trident
Harting participated for DC- Trident in the third Season of ISL.

☆ 2021 Short Course World Championships Gold Medalist
Harting qualified as a member for Team USA in the 200 Butterfly. Harting also won a Gold Medal in the 4×200 Freestyle relay.

☆ ISL – DC Trident
On June 11, 2019, Zach Harting was announced as a member of the DC Trident ISL team, headed by GM Kaitlin Sandeno.

☆ 2019 World Aquatics Championships
Harting placed sixth in the 200m butterfly. Harting was a member of the inaugural International Swimming League (ISL) representing DC Trident. He competed at the first two matches held in Indianapolis, Indiana, and Naples, Italy

☆ 2018 Pan Pacific Championships
Harting kept his momentum into pan pacs, using his patented back half to touch for bronze in the 200 fly in Tokyo with yet another new best time (1:55.01).

☆ 2018 U.S. National Championships
Harting was the runnerup in the 200 butterfly (1:55.11), qualifying him for the 2018 Pan Pac Championships and putting him on his first ever USA “A” team. Harting also finished sixth in the 100 butterfly (52.00). He also finished 28th in the 200 freestyle (1:49.83).

☆ World University Games 2017
Harting was part of the gold medal 4×100 freestyle and medley relays. He also qualified for the semifinals in the 200 butterfly (9th, 1:58.04) and 100 butterfly (12th, 53.23).

☆ 2016 Olympic Trials
At U.S. Olympic Team Trials, he was seventh in the 200 butterfly (1:56.92).
